Rubber band man.

Boomerang.
If you throw it, it will always come back to you no matter how far out it goes.

Dog.
Might stray from home but always finds it's way back.

Rubber band.
Stretches and stretches and stretches and still snaps back at you when you let it go.

What do all three of these have in common? They always come back.

Our friendship can be defined as any or all of the above.
No matter how far we stray from home we always find one another again.

People have to go their separate ways, find out who they are.
They need to experience life without someone holding their hand, no safety nets.
We need to make our own mistakes and successes.
We teach each other and help each other build up to this point and then we just let go hoping we have done enough.
Sometimes it's hard to let go. We do not want to lose those who we are closest to.
Other times, we could care less if we ever see that person again.

Honestly, I have felt both ways at different times. But, I have always come back and so have you.
I know you will be there for me through the good, the bad, and the ugly - when I really need you.

It's hard to find a friend who will always be there for you. Someone who won't turn away when things get rough. Who doesn't just throw everything away because you were mad one day and talked about them behind their backs. A real friend.

I have found one in you.
And no matter how far I stray from home, or how far the rubber band stretches, I will always find my way back to you.

it's a miracle that she puts up with me

Every single time I think about or see these tweets, I mentally slap myself. What are we talking about? My most epic fail to date.

First thing that morning, she found out that her uncle had passed away. A few hours later we were driving around and I was picking the songs. What did my dumb ass chose? Tim McGraw- Live Like You Were Dying. Yeah, go me!

To add to my stupidity, I sat there listening to it for a good 30 seconds before I realized what an idiot I was. Had it been any other friend, I probably would have opened the car door and just jumped out while we were moving. Being the amazing person that she is, she found the situation funny. I did not. I do not. I never will.

It's a miracle that she puts up with me.
